Kelly Osbourne is expected to be leaving “Fashion Police,” days after complaining about co-host Giuliana Rancic’s comments on Zendaya’s dreadlocks via twitter. (See Bottom of Post for Tweets)
“E! Entertainment said Friday that Osbourne is leaving to pursue other opportunities.” claims the Associated Press, this is typical of show business for a Network to say; that a star and the network have left on good terms. Instead of saying they fired Kelly Osbourne (As radar online is reporting), or that she had quit (what TMZ is reporting) the network decided to imply that it was a mutual decision. We here are particularly upset with the loss of Kelly Osbourne as her uncontrollable laughing fits made the show so much more entertaining.
Many news sites are reporting that Kelly has been a hassle to hand since the Joan has left the show. Some reports even suggest that Kelly and new host Kathy Griffin have butted heads.
Osbourne’s publicist did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
On Monday’s post-Oscar edition of “Fashion Police,” Rancic said that actress-singer Zendaya’s hair suggested the smell of “patchouli oil or marijuana.” Rancic was immediately attacked from Zendaya and Osbourne, among others, and apologized the next day on “E! News.”
Osbourne tweeted Tuesday that she doesn’t condone racism and was reconsidering being part of “Fashion Police.” This has lead to speculation that she did infact quit the show and wasn’t fired like some news sites are reporting!
E! said the series will air next as scheduled on March 30. No decision has been made on Osbourne’s replacement, the channel said. However TMZ and Radar Online are claiming that Khloe Kardashian is expecting to replace Kelly, as there have been talks between the network and her recently about joining the show full time. Another possibly is NeNe Leakes who also has been in talks with the network as of lately!
“Fashion Police” recently added Kathy Griffin to replace the late Joan Rivers.
