Lydia McLaughlin Reveals Her Faith Made Her Walk Off Stage During The RHOC Reunion

Lydia

Former RHOC star Lydia McLaughlin (who can forget her and her famous Princess line to Heather Dubrow)  has apparently written a new book which includes information on her time on The Real Housewives of Orange County, Beyond Orange County: A Housewives Guide to Faith & Happiness. In a  excerpt from the book, McLaughlin says she surprisingly left the stage during the reunion taping because her spiritual voice (mamas weed)  told her to.

“I sensed the Holy Spirit inside me saying, ‘You don’t have to be here,’” Lydia writes to RadarOnline. “So I stood up and walked off the set.”

“No one was attacking me. I wasn’t crying because I was personally upset; I was full of sorrow for the brokenness in the room,” she explains of Vicki’s argument with daughter Briana. “…I felt empathy for [Vicki and Briana]. They were having real, deep-rooted family drama, and it was presented to an audience as entertainment.”

“As I prayed about the decision, I didn’t feel in my heart of hearts that I was called [by God] to do another season of the show,” she writes in her book. “My true motivation for doing the show again was based more on the worldly benefits…I had gotten a taste of fame and recognition, and it was fun. The money the network offers you is enticing. The dresses and makeup and all things girlie were tempting.”

Lydia left the show after one season in 2013, which was a huge upset to us over here! She was well liked, down to earth, and had a kick ass mom who would throw fairy dust on everyone! Not to mention smoked the reefer!
