Kristen Taekman and Heather Thomson of the Real Housewives of New York have revealed in a brand new interview that they both are glad that “fame-hungry” Aviva Drescher is gone from the Real Housewives of New York City. They both claimed that the hit reality show is much better with out her on it, and we here would have to agree.
Aviva Drescher who appeared last season on RHONY was known for her extremely over dramatic episodes, and her fear of practically everything… like really everything that can move, or do anything for that matter. Aviva who ended last season, by throwing her leg, to prove that there was nothing fake about her… besides her leg.. was given the axe off the reality TV show before this season started, and thank god for that!
When asked if Aviva’s departure from the show affected the “dynamic” of the cast, Heather quickly responded that the cast dynamic changed for the better. Heather, who has had many confrontations with Aviva and even once called her a “motherf**ker,” said that how Aviva behaved during her two seasons on the show still angers her, and it also still angers me, she was so fucking annoying lets be honest!
“Yes. Immediately…It was better. It was the right change for the show…Yeah, it was the right change for the show…You didn’t know what was gonna come out of Aviva’s mouth and more times than not, it wasn’t even honest. I was really upset. It still to this day, Aviva’s like one of those things in life I wish was different.”
Kristen agreed that Aviva’s departure meant less tension among the group.
“It was more comfortable. We were more relaxed…We weren’t walking around on eggshells anymore.”
Heather then implied that Aviva wasn’t her real self on the show, but did and said things in order to be famous and stay on the cast, which ultimately backfired. Who can forget her sex addicted 90 year older father who tried to molest practically every cast member!
“Honesty. Being honest you know? You have to be honest and I just think she, unfortunately, wanted fame so badly that it was at any cost. And that’s sometimes the wrong way to go about things.”
When asked what they thought of Aviva Drescher later going on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, Kristen Taekman and Heather Thomson pointed out that Aviva always told them that her marriage to Reid Drescher was great. Heather, with Kristen in agreement, speculated that Aviva went on that show because she wasn’t coming back to The Real Housewives of New York and she wanted to still be on television. The two added that neither of them, nor Carole Radziwill, have had any contact with Aviva since she left the show.
