Thousands of New Yorkers commute to work on daily basis, everyday they walk down the same streets, pass the same stores, sit next to the same people, yet never interact. As we grow older, our life just becomes a time loop, its like we are all stuck in that movie Groundhog Day, repeating the same day over and over. We need to start looking up, we need to experience the true beauty in life. Remember the days of being a kid, where you would just rake leaves in order to jump in them, you would make snow angels and build igloos!
Just because where no longer kids, doesn’t mean we have to stop finding the beauty and fun in everything. Stop staring at your cell phones and computers, enjoy your walk to work! Listen to some live music during the walk to your subway, look at the beautiful sights around you as your walking to get your morning coffee! Have lunch in central park and just watch the people around you. It’s time to bring the inner child back, and just fucking enjoy your life! I see to many people, sucked into the work flow, that the miss the shooting star right above them.
In this video below, a YouTube production group, AMK Productions, shows us just how to be a kid again. In an effort to raise awareness for childhood cancer, AMK Productions informs us that thousands of kids who are diagnosed with cancer each year lose the ability to experience what its like to be a kid. In this video AMK Productions goes around New York City and sets up beds with signs that say, “Jump on Me,” and “#BeAKidAgain.” They then recorded what happened to the beds throughout the day, and it was simply magical. As we watched fathers, mothers, grandparents and children jump on these beds, their faces of pure joy couldn’t help but bring me to tears. Watch this awesome video below!
