Katie Hamilton, wife of MLB star Josh Hamilton, was supposed to have joined the cast of the Real Housewives of Orange County this season along with Meghan King Edmonds. But amidst reports that her husband Josh has relapsed from his serious drug addiction, Katie may have already quit the show.
Last week, Josh, who is an outfielder for the Angels, was meeting with MLB baseball officials for a “disciplinary issue,” ESPN reported. In February, Hamilton had surgery and was ecovering at a friend’s home because of alleged martial issues with Katie, which led to a relapse “at least involving cocaine.”
Now, Yahoo Sports is reporting that Josh’s relapse happened after an argument with his wife. “Hamilton has told people his latest spiral began around Super Bowl weekend after a fight with his wife. Because he cannot carry cash or credit cards [because he doesn’t trust himself], Hamilton wrote himself a check to cash. He wound up at a strip club and used cocaine.“
With a long history of drug use, Josh “honorably confessed” to a relapse last month, then flew to New York for a meeting with the MLB Commission. Although the Bravo cameras were not filming during the time of his relapse, numerous reports reveal that the couple is struggling with how much to reveal about Josh’s drug history.
RumorFix reports that Katie, who has already filmed a ton of new footage for RHOC, stopped filming two weeks ago and may have quit the show for good.
