Melissa McCarthy will not take shit from anybody, while appearing on the hit daytime talk show “The Ellen Show,” McCarthy revealed that she had a heated encounter with a reporter while promoting her 2014 film “Tammy.” The reporter had bashed her appearance in the film, previous to interview Melissa he had written an article and called her out for looking ugly in the movie. This did not suit well with Melissa.
Melissa reveals that she actually took a lot of time into making it look like she didn’t care about her appearance for the movie. Leading her to ask the reporter….
“Would you do that to a man?”
The reporter however was still really concered with how bad she looked in the movie.
McCarthy then made a comment that would surely open his eyes.
“I hope you don’t have a daughter.”
He revealed that he did in fact have a daughter who he loved very much. She asked him to imagine his daughter getting rejected for a job for being so-called “unattractive.”
This seems to be a real eye opener for the reporter who was once concerned with Melissa’s looks.
“Just know everytime you write stuff, every young girl in this country reads that and they just get a little bit chipped away,” said Melissa McCarthy, while she was recalling her exchange on “Ellen.” she claims “I just think we tear down women in this country for all these superficial reasons and women are so great and strong.”
