Claudia Jordan Opens Up About This Weeks RHOA

claudiaaa

Real Housewives of Atlanta has definitely proved it self this season as to why its the most watched of the Housewives franchises, Claudia Jordan opens up in a new interview and discusses the most recent episode as well as her mediation ideas!

Bravotv.com: How did you feel about your relationship with Phaedra after the lunch?
Claudia Jordan: I felt that even though she wasn’t quite ready to share too much personal information specifically about her break up, she did open up to me and showed some real emotion, and that was a breakthrough in itself. Phaedra always appears to be in control of her emotions, so I was quite surprised when she started to tear up. At that point in the conversation she was talking about failure and recalling an incident where she didn’t pass an exam and was doubting herself. I know that wasn’t relationship related, but the fact that she was willing and able to open up to a newbie about something that was painful to her — to me was still progress. I appreciated that conversation, and I think both participants in a deep convo like that can’t help but to walk away feeling moved and also just more aware of what may make the other person tick. It was a positive experience.

Bravotv.com: Why did you decide to try and help mediate the ladies’ issues?
CJ: Because quite frankly I was sick of it. I think I was in a unique position, because I’m new to the group and any “beef” I’ve had with the ladies has been surface issues. Nothing earth shattering. I am not as emotionally attached as some of the others. Plus I am in a good place with the majority of the ladies, and I think I’m a pretty fair person, so I think it worked. I do think the silly issues that I have had with a couple of the ladies have mainly come as a result of my prior friendship with Kenya. And that’s unfortunate. Especially in this group where former enemies are now close. I figured if some of the others can turn that around, then any problems that stemmed from my affiliation with Kenya should be able to be fixed. The older we get and the more time we spend on this earth, the more people we will have interactions with, and some of them won’t be pleasant. To write someone off because they are friends with someone you didn’t gel with is just silly. I arrived on the scene knowing the prior issues that Kenya had with a few of the ladies, and I was able to push past that. I even tried to reach out to one at work and at lunch knowing she had a physical altercation with Kenya. And of course I knew about the long standing issue between Kenya and Phaedra, but I think I more than stepped up to the plate and showed how open minded I could be by giving Phaedra the best room as well as meeting with her and having a genuine conversation with no ulterior motive. I was sincere. With that being said, I wouldn’t expect anyone to do anything that I wasn’t willing to do. So if I can do it — and be open — then why can’t everyone else? I’ve seen a few girls apologize repeatedly for things they may or may have not been actually guilty of just for the benefit of the group, while others refuse. I know it’s tough to do as long as you still hold a grudge, but what do grudges get us? They get us wrinkles, anxiety, and uncomfortable dinners. And who wants that? Now I am far from perfect, and I clearly still have some work to do my damn self. I know I definitely feel the need to prove my point and to show why I moved the way I moved. And that is something I am trying to work on. But right now I am happy to try to help the others in the group, and if I can assist in the smallest of ways, that’s a success and I can walk away feeling good about that. Hey, baby steps are better than no steps at all!

Bravotv.com: Did you feel like the vibe changed for the better after everyone talked through their issues at dinner?
CJ: Ab-so-freaking-lutely! It was smooth sailing after that, and it felt like a great weight was lifted off of our shoulders. After the dinner I even got a visit in my villa from Kandi and Porsha and we sat around and talked. I thought, “Finally! A real moment of coolness!” My thing is this — when new folks are coming together, there are going to be growing pains. You might do something I do not approve of and vice versa. We might have a big blow up and think that we hate each other for a moment. But more often than not, these are just surface issues. Nothing deep. Plus I think because we have this platform, sometimes folks put ten on twenty and do a little extra than they may do in their normal day to day to have their “moment” and show their ass. So I try to take that into consideration. It’s just not normal to argue on this level all the time. But that dinner was a lot of things — we had shade, frustration, glass breaking, arguments, interruptions, patience, understanding, and finally some hope at the end when Phaedra and Kenya agreed to have a private conversation to see if they could make some progress. I think some things are best to bring up in front of everyone and some conversations work better if it’s just between the two ladies involved. I guess the trick here is learning when to do what so that no one’s feelings are hurt and no one feels blindsided. Again, none of us are perfect, and there is no handbook to all of this. We are all a work in progress and learning each other as we go. But for now things are feeling pretty good and hopeful! Let’s pray that these good vibes continue!

Claudia Jordan Think Group Therapy Helped The Women Of Atlanta

claudClaudia Jordan, star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, is opening up about this weeks most recent episode of Atlanta. She begins by talking about how she felt that progress was made between the women even though Nene Leaks bounced from therapy. She explains why she decided to call Dr Jeff on her own and see him and explains she has her own flaws. She also answers whether or not her a Porsha have squashed there beef completly!
Bravotv.com: Did you feel like progress was made at the therapy session?
Claudia Jordan: I do and I don’t. The main people that needed it were not willing participants. One took off because she couldn’t deal with hearing about how her actions affected the rest of the ladies. And the other that stayed, well… she received apology after apology without ever acknowledging any of her own wrong doing. That’s not right at all. How is it that the woman on the receiving end of a physical attack has apologized to her assailant on several occasions, yet she has yet to show any remorse? That’s downright insane to me! At the end of the day, there are lots of situations in this group where one can claim they were “provoked,” and if the response/excuse every single time was physical violence, we’d all be in jail! And the sad thing is in this particular environment I felt that everyone else there was really ready to do the work and participate. So if ever there was a time to drop the ego and do the right thing and apologize simply for the purpose of starting the healing process for the group, then that was the time. Some people are just too stubborn and refuse to humble themselves. That happens when you are babied your entire life — you feel like you can do no wrong. The rest of the ladies (including myself) however have all apologized and taken responsibility for contributing to the discord. But just pay attention to who never apologizes and who always does. I do not think that is because one “group” has been causing all the negativity in the group. But I do think that is because some have an agenda and a vendetta, while the other group is actually trying to make things cool and move on.

But on the flip side I will say that therapy was beneficial. In that one session we did get some good guidance from Dr. Jeff, who I would like to apologize to on behalf of the group for how he was mistreated. He came to help us and was insulted, disrespected, and his professionalism was questioned, which he did not deserve. So Dr. Jeff, I am sorry for how you were mistreated. The session did just highlight that some of us are mature and able to speak respectfully to one another, even if we have an issue with them, and some just cannot stand the sight and sound of someone we have decided not to like just because. All in all we did the best we could, and everyone who stayed did seem to really want to get along. And things were definitely better at work after the session. We were cordial and friendly.

Bravotv.com: Why did you decide to meet with Dr. Jeff one-on-one?
CJ: I have never, ever once claimed to be perfect or without flaws. And when I say I want to really resolve things, I am not just offering lip service — I really mean it. If there is something that I am doing wrong that is contributing to any of the strife amongst the group, then I’d like to address it and do my part to work on me. I think most of us have issues with others because of past hurts that we perhaps never really dealt with and that cause us to act out in certain ways that may bother others. I am not saying I do this necessarily, but I have no problems talking to someone to at least try to be a better person. I for sure have made my share of mistakes and have experienced a lot of pain and disappointment in my life, but I’ve also been extremely blessed. But at the end of the day, my intention is always to grow and learn from it all and to be a better woman today than I was yesterday. Dr. Jeff is great at what he does and was for sure an asset to the group. Thank you, Doctor!

Bravotv.com: Did you and Porsha manage to get back to a better place?
CJ: It seemed that way. But I had made the decision that regardless of whether or not she was going to continue the peace treaty, that I was going to do my part to keep it cool, polite, and cordial. And so far so good.

Again I’d like to thank the fans for all their support and love and enthusiasm for #RHOA! I was in Miami Beach and Miami Gardens with the morning show this past weekend for Jazz in the Gardens, and the love I got from all the fans of the show was next level! I was truly flattered and humbled, and I will never let any of this get to my head and change me. I’m grateful to be a part of this and for all the amazing opportunities that keep sprouting from this. I just wrapped a movie called The Hills that I have a lead role in, which will be out in the fall, as well as another film called Love is Not Enough. I’m also working on a product line (to be announced soon) and more calls have been coming in from Hollywood for more great acting roles. I also had a great time with my girls in Miami and ran into a bunch of awesome people doing their thing that love the show too! I feel so rested and at peace. I’m healthy, happy, and appreciative. #ThankYouGod

The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 7 Episode 18 Recap

claudia2

The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 7 Episode 18 featured a pissed off/upset Phaedra Parks take the first move to divorce Apollo Nida after her felon husband checked into prison a few weeks back. To start off the show we saw Phaedra come to the realization that she is done with Apollo Nida.

Way before Apollo Nida failed to report to prison and nearly assaulted Phaedra in their final blowout fight (which was creepy as fuck we must admit, you don’t hold something you can kill someone with and creepily whisper for them not to call the cops after you flip out) , he had been acting more and more erratically she claims.

Phaedra admits Apollo Nida terrorized their home by “always getting into fights” and claimed that he never allowed her to “get a peaceful night’s sleep,” no matter what the situation was. But now that he’s in prison, she says, she finally is at peace and so are we.

“I thought he was a changed man,” Phaedra spills to Ronnie

“I married him because I knew that he loved me. Some people do change their lives and make a difference … maybe he was conning me the whole time.”

“It’s a sad time. A divorce is a death. A death of a relationship.”

Meanwhile, we return back to the group counseling session as tensions was still at a high between the Housewives of Atlanta. We learn that after Porsha Williams beat down Kenya Moore (in what was an epic moment we might add), those two agreed to squash their beef and move on.

Porsha admits that she is still bitter over accusations that she slept with a married man, while Claudia explains she feels Porsha took sides when NeNe came after her in Puerto Rico.

“It is OK for you to sit and laugh at another woman calling me a whore,” Claudia says. “But when I bring up what you’re actually, really doing – allegedly – it hurts you.”

Claudia eventually does apologize for bringing the rumors up the way that she did, and Kenya takes her share of the blame for their fight as well. Porsha and Claudia mend there problems… atleast for now.

After talking about how they should respond to Nene leaving the group therapy, they decide to send her a video to thank her for making them go to group therapy. Because they don’t kick her ass enough!

Claudia Jordan: Upcoming Cast Trip Proves NeNe Leakes Causes All The Problems On RHOA!

Claudia1

Claudia Jordan gossiped all about the upcoming trip to Thailand and claims that everyone got along so well, which is proof that NeNe causes all the issues among the cast. Well when your making as much money as Nene is she should have to be required to start all the drama!

“Everyone who showed up for the trip got along really, really well,” Claudia reported to OK! Magazine. “I think people are going to be pleasantly surprised about that trip. Cynthia said it was the best cast trip she’s ever been on!”

Claudia defends Peter and Cynthia’s marriage claiming the cheating rumors are bull shit. Claiming that Phaedra is a hypocrite for not actually fact checking Peters so called side piece! Claudia then says that Phaedra expects everyone to be sensitive about her current Apollo drama yet doesn’t have the same courtesy for others. “It’s kinda trendy this season to jump on Cynthia.”

Claudia ends the interview with a surprising statement “I’m really proud of how this season ends. We were in a dark place, but we don’t end in a dark place.”

Claudia Jordan: My Thoughts On The Group Therapy Session

Claudia

Claudia Jordan is gossiping all about this week’s episode of the Real Housewives of Atlanta in a brand new interview with BravoTV. Claudia explains what led her to stand-up comedy, shares her opinions on the group therapy session and jokes that someone owes Dr. Jeff an apology… NENE!

Bravotv.com: What inspired you to try stand-up comedy?
Claudia Jordan: Well ever since I was on the Foxxhole with Jamie Foxx and the rest of those wild and crazy comedians, I was told by a lot of our listeners that I should give it a try. We really had a nice following that tuned in every Friday for our shenanigans. They would often call me “the Sniper” or “C-Murda” (that was my nickname, because I was so quick with the comebacks and they would always burn/kill my opponent). So I got a reputation for being someone not to mess with unless you were ready for some comebacks that might sting. Over the years I would put it off and say, “One day I will get on stage.” Eventually I went and hosted a comedy show where my job was just to bring up the talent, and I had a few jokes I tried out in front of the crowd and I got a pretty good reaction. I just remembered the feeling of being on stage and being responsible for a room full of people laughing, and I thought it was one of the most incredible feelings ever! I made a lot of self-deprecating jokes and said some edgy and provocative things. That wasn’t quite a comedy set, but I was intrigued and meant to get back on stage and do it again. But I procrastinated, and before I knew it, so much time went by that I was scared to try it again. So moving to a new city with a whole new vibe, I thought there was no better time than now to get up there and try it again. But the day I went to Uptown Comedy Club I had nothing prepared. I had just intended on talking to the manager about possibly performing in the future. So when I got on stage, I had nothing! Oh lord that is not a fun feeling! Even though there was only one person in the audience — my girl Demetria — bombing is the most uncomfortable feeling. You feel so vulnerable and dumb! But I will tell you what it does do — it makes you fearless. When you try something and fail or fall short, it builds character. It toughens you up, because once you experience something like that, it is one less thing in the world that will scare you, because you have already been through it and came out on the other side and survived. We’ll see though… I hate to lose so I must try it again…in Atlanta!

Bravotv.com: How do you know Luenell? Did you find her advice helpful?
CJ: I’ve known Luenell for years. I think I met her when she was a guest on the Foxxhole, and we have been cool ever since! Back then I was going super hard on the radio, and Luenell said she was shocked at the things I was saying. That’s what made her think I was funny, and it was an instant connection. We are real friends, not Hollywood friends that just bump into each other at events. We’d spend time on the phone talking about life, and I recommend her for any talk show projects I’m asked to be a part of, and she gives me great advice and is so supportive. I love her! I knew she would be the perfect person to talk to about comedy, because she is comedy and she has never and will never see me as a threat — she sees me as a friend. She says what she wants and is so unapologetic, and that is the kind of comedy I love. I totally appreciated her advice!

Bravotv.com: What was going through your mind during the therapy session?
CJ: I was trying my best to bite my tongue and not to debate every time I heard some B.S. and it was tough! But I figured if I’m going to do this, then I’m going to try my very best to “do the work.” I have to say that the majority of the ladies practiced extreme restraint and kept their cool, despite insults being hurled their way. I was proud of how they got their points across without raising their voices or firing back when they were completely within their rights to do so. I thought Dr. Jeff had his hands full, and I hope he wasn’t too scarred by the horrible treatment that he received when he was only trying to do the job he was asked to do. I like how he kept everything pretty fair, and his demeanor was calming. I know I am new in this group, but I was shocked at how one person seems to have a completely warped sense of what is actually happening. I wish all of the ladies were there, including Phaedra and Demetria, because I think that could have really been a great opportunity to squash everything once and for all. And although Demetria and I are new and don’t have any long standing beefs or emotional attachments with these chicks, I think some of the vets’ behavior towards the new girls shows a pattern that was established long before we arrived, and I think that is important. If you are doing the same thing to the new girls that you have no history with, then clearly you have an internal issue with women in general. Well, certain types of women that don’t submit to you and, God forbid, have their own mind… Somehow really gets under your skin. That is a self-esteem issue. And I suspect it’s going to take more than one session of counseling to fix it. But hey, you’ve got to crawl before you walk, and who knows what the future holds. But I think one of us owes Dr. Jeff a very nice bottle of champagne and a huge apology! Keep it cute, boo!

Claudia Jordan Claims She is Not Jealous Of Porsha Williams

ClaudiaJordanWWHL

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Claudia Jordan was with Andy Cohen on the Watch What Happens Live Clubhouse show Sunday night to talk about the show and answer questions from the viewers.

When asked to talk about the counseling session NeNe Leakes arranged, Claudia replied to Andy, “I felt like her heart wasn’t really in it and maybe it was a vanity project. Maybe she thought the counseling would be for what was wrong with all of us but the thing is, all of us have beef with each other, but we’ve all had an issue with NeNe at some point.”

The first of many interested callers asked whether Claudia ever went on a date with Real Ex Husband Kordell Stewart. “Absolutely not,” Jordan states “I’ve never had any romantic situations with Kordell. I caught a lot of flak for that, people really thought I was going after him. I’ve known Kordell for 17-years, we’ve been nothing but cool and nothing but platonic. He didn’t try, I didn’t try, we’re just cool. I wasn’t trying to shady to Porsha.” Well that’s news to us!

When asked about her current dating life, and who she was seeing she joked “Well if you come out with us tonight, like I invited you earlier, you’ll meet him.”

The last of the many callers asked Claudia whether or not she was jealous of Porsha Williams. “No I’m not jealous of Porsha,” Jordan boldly claims “There’s nothing that she has that I want. I can support another woman that’s doing her thing. I’m not too bad myself?”
