"Jurassic World" just had the biggest weekend in box office history

‘Jurassic World’ just may have had the biggest weekend in box office history!

“Jurassic World” continues to shock us with its box office success. The film, which opened on Thursday, broke Universal’s all-time “Thursday night preview” premiere record with $18 million.

Now that Friday’s numbers are in we now know that “Jurassic World” received $82.3 million opening day if you combine its Thursday night preview with Friday’s debut.

This gives “Jurassic World” the accomplishment of ranking itself just below the two current most successful box office openers, “Avengers: Age of Ultron” ($84 million) and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2″ ($91 million).

“Jurassic World” is currently on track to have one of the biggest opening weekends of all time with new reports claiming that together, domestic and foreign, this movie could gross an easy $200 million in its first weekend.

Other reports are claiming that “Jurassic World” has already earned $212.8 million since Wednesday including foreign and domestic revenue which would clearly make it one of the greatest box office successes ever.

Directed by Colin Trevorrow, who was not really a big time director until now, Jurassic World cost a cool $150 million to make, considering its box office success in just a few days which clearly payed off the costs, you can surely expect some sequels!
