Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks is heading back to court regarding her defamation lawsuit against Angela Stanton. A judge denied Parks’ motion to dismiss the counterclaims against her.
Phaedra sued her former friend when Stanton wrote a self-published book that claimed Parks ran a “criminal enterprise.” Stanton filed counterclaims against Parks and now a judge has ruled against Parks’ request to have those counterclaims dismissed.
“Having considered the Plaintiff’s brief, Defendant’s response brief, the record before it and the applicable and controlling law, DENIES Plaintiffs Motion To Dismiss Counterclaims,” the documents, obtained by RadarOnline state.
“The court GRANTS Defendant’s Motion To File Permissive Counterclaims and said counterclaims having been previously filed, the court ORDERS that the Counterclaims as filed shall be, and are, allowed to remain as Defendant’s Counterclaims against Plaintiff without refiling.”
A new hearing has been scheduled for April 20th, 2015.
