Seems like Jason Hoppy didn’t like how Bethenny Frankel threw a bunch of shade this past week!
On April 18, Jason’s lawyer responded to comments that Frankel made on a recent Real Housewives of New York episode where she referred to herself as the “wealthiest homeless person in Manhattan.”
Hoppy’s legal representative, Bernard Clair, essentially blasted the reality star, saying:
“The recent stories about what is supposedly going on in court, particularly about financial matters, are inaccurate and false, seemingly planted by misguided people who wrongly believe that they are furthering Ms. Frankel’s newly minted effort to cast herself as a victim. Mr. Hoppy continues to work hard to protect his daughter from what appears to be her mother’s inability or unwillingness to put a clamp on uninvited media attention.”
The lawyer offered no follow-up, but it’s clear from the statement that Jason did NOT appreciate his estranged wife’s choice of words.
To be fair, Frankel later admitted she’s far from homeless, a sentiment she reiterated to Andy Cohen on Tuesday:
“By being on the show, I open myself up to scrutiny. I said I was the wealthiest homeless person. It was a pun. I don’t actually think I’m homeless. I donate a lot of money to Dress For Success and help a lot of women who would be homeless or who were homeless every year with the money that I make from Skinnygirl.”
